Working 12 hours per week, which includes regular weekend work of 1-hour Saturday and 1-hour Sunday (early morning) to check the children’s playground. Rate of pay £9.27 per hour (NJC Pay Scale Spinal Column Point 1)

 Wistaston Parish Council are looking for a dedicated person to work individually and as part of a team with Wistaston Conservation Group, on a wide range of duties within the Parish of Wistaston. The post holder will be expected to perform duties with a minimum of supervision, should be capable of carrying out general manual labour, displaying good organisation skills, self-motivation, initiative and take pride in their work.

 Specific areas of knowledge and responsibility include maintaining and enhancing Wistaston Parish Council’s recreation area and woodlands for residents and wildlife. Also keeping the children’s playground free from safety hazards, clean and tidy. Duties will include:-

Grass and shrubbery strimming

Hedge trimming

Litter picking

Sweeping playground, car park and paths

Cleaning playground, signs, notice boards, bus shelter, drains and silt traps

Minor repairs to gates, fences and woodland paths

Monthly Environmental Walkabout Inspections

Weed Treatment (following completion of training)

Emptying Waste Bin

Removal of Rope Swings
